a book cover of Daft Poems on a background of fireworks

The new book “Daft Poems & Twisted Tongues: An Assortment of Wonderful Wordplay”  is out now on Amazon. If you like knock-knock jokes, nursery rhymes, tongue twisters and classic animal-and-nature-themed poetry, this book will be for you.

Perhaps you’re a kid who likes that kind of wordplay. Or perhaps you’re a parent or caregiver who wishes to instill that in a child you care about. In either case, this book will hit right in that sweet spot. Enjoy!

It even contains some drawings, lovingly, though not necessarily exquisitely made, by the author. The author, by the way, is Julius Dogwood, not me.

I should also mention that Julius put the book together. I wouldn’t call him the author, in that the book contains things like poetry, nursery rhymes, knock-knock jokes and tongue twisters, that pre-exist. And can be found in other places.

But it has cool drawings! And makes a great gift!

So, if you want to have a slim little volume of lyrical delights for the young and young at heart, this book will scratch that itch.

If you want to know a bit more about how the book came to be, learn about my children’s disappointment with The Confident Presenter by reading this blog post.
