We kicked off the Amsterdam Free Fringe last night with an improv show at Mezrab. It was an informal assemblage of accomplished performers from different pockets of the Amsterdam improv and comedy scenes.

And we delivered two halves of improv comedy merriment to a nice-sized audience of Free Fringers, Mezrabians, and assorted others. It bodes well for the Free Fringe, for improv at Mezrab, and for creative cross-pollination.

But mostly it was just lots of fun.

And it’s not the only improv show in the Free Fringe. Nope.

On Saturday night at the Vondelbunker there is The Hellfire Club. I’m on the bill, and I will present the first ever version of The Pitch. The goal: to create, in front of and with an audience, the complete story for a brand-new feature film. From title to logline and right on through to a thrilling climax – with hopefully all the other good cinema stuff along the way.

Show starts at 8.30, come down and help me make a movie.

Aaaaand ACTION!
