I don’t go away for business very frequently, but a few times a year I’m out of town for a night or two. There’s a real push/pull scenario at play when these occasions crop up. Let me just say that even with both my wife and I at home tending to daily life and two small children, we feel like we’re running overcapacity.
So when one or the other of us is away, it involves a whole lot of figuring out how to maneuver responsibilities and pick up the slack. Anyway, on the flip side, when I’m on my own in a hotel room, I’m given a bit of a chance to reflect, as happened recently.
Here’s a short video that shows what five minutes after midnight can do.
